The Salts - Episode 1
"You're not going out with him." Rocky Salt shook with emotion.
"But, Da–ad – "
"I mean it, Krystie. Don't rub me up the wrong way on this, or you'll be grounded."
"Your father's right," gushed Beth Salt.
"That boy's cheap, he's artificial and he's not natural. And look at the way he dresses – all those garish colours."
"But I love the way he smells," cooed Krystie.
"That's the parfum in him," said Rocky. "Do you really want to get mixed up with a deodorant with parfum in him?"
"And I've heard he's been tested on animals," added Beth.
"I'm a travelling Salt," said Krystie. "I've got to go out."
"No, Krystie. My earth, my rules," said Rocky.
"Grounded, you're grounded," chuckled Chuck.
"Well, at least I get taken out for the evening," spat Krystie, "Not like you."
"When people take me, they take me for weeks at a time," said Chuck. "They take me on holiday."
"Don't rub it in, Chuck," said Beth. "Your sister's upset."
"I'm going to my room," sobbed Krystie.
"It's so unfair. Nobody understands me."
"Stop crying," said Rocky, as she ran out.
"And put your top back on. You look like a cheap, artificial deodorant."
"You're classic," said Beth to her husband. "You're my rock."
"And you're my endless fountain of protection, darling!"
"Oh-ho," groaned Chuck. "Roll-on my next holiday!"
